Stats Updated! New Record Holders!

Post by retep »

Alright, stats are updated. There are a bunch of new people high up in the standings, so check it out.

For batting average, I decided that we'll keep the minimum at-bats for batting average lead at 42, mening people need to play at least 6-8 games with us to qualify. Since we play weekly, this is an achivale limit i feel. Bith at me if you think otherwise.

Yes, my batting average has dropped nearly .100 points in the last 2 weeks.

Talk it up!

Creepin' on da Come up

Post by Baseball=Life »

Watch out Cuong!!!!

I'm creepin' up behind ya in the race for the Batting title!

I know you are killing me in slugging percentage, but, hey, I'm gonna overtake you in BA if you don't watch out!

And as for me being the total hits leader (35) hahahahahah all y'all better start finding those holes in the infield, and knock some base hits through! Because my lead in that catagory is getting bigger & bigger each game! Last game : 6 hits from the 5th spot in the lineup! Wait till I feel 100% and I'll take down Daniel's hits-per-game record because then I'll be able to hit leadoff again and get those extra ABs necessary to overtake Daniel!

And, yes, I can do it even though he set the record at DeFremery---I'll still overcome him at Raimondi, I don't care!!!! Hahahahahahahahahah

I'm aiming to break my own record as well

Good luck to ya Scott, it's gonna be hard to break 8 hits at ramondi, you'd probly need to go to extra innings for that.

I want some of this. I'm not quite sure, but I think I'm still in best position to take home a triple crown.

1st in runs
3rd in hits
3rd in RBIs
and probably top 5 in average.

OK., but you need to bet 1st in HRs, AVG, and RBI. Keep working all that.

I think Nick and even Paul can get the triple crown as well (and Carlos?)

What's considered to be the triple crown in MLB? Avg, HR, and RBI?

Oh is it? I thought it was any three of the major titles... well... I'm in pretty good running for that too. (2nd in HRs)

I find it silly how much Stolen Bases and Runs are undervalued in stats...

I agree with SBs, but not Runs. You need to have a good set of hitter's behind you for you to score. I think it's important but not key.

You do realized that you just said that scoring runs isn't key in the game of baseball, right?

No. Its not a key stat for an indivisual player. For a team, no shit. But I don't think it says very much about a player...

Crown suggests a crowning ceremony. Pass the alumin(i)um foil....

Don't we need some kind of "end" of our "season" to hand out (figuratively speaking, probably) these crowns. Otherwise it's just who's on top at any given time.
