Goat Of The Game 2/27/05

Post by retep »

I nominate: ME! (I know, I'm so ego-centric! )

Yeah, that 1 for 7 in the lead-off spot... oh dear. I'm too depressed to update the career stats tonight!

It is a slump....but you are half goat

Post by manuelchia »

The game seemed like it was heading toward your direction but the different between first-third inning and the rest of the game was that nobody was getting those clutch hit during needed moments. Yes, peter you are sort of the goat but without the play that you made this game could of really got out of hand....that was the play that cancels out your batting slump....Great defense by the team anyways even though you guys lost....So iam 6-0 everytime i play on a team....

Yeah, Peter, hopefully crying yourself to sleep last night made everything better. Oh shit, wrong forum, should've been in shit-talking. My bad.

hahahah just kidding.

I don't know though Peter, you were only 1 of 4 different people that went 1/7, including the other lead-off hitter. And you did get that extrabase hit and make the play Manny's referring to.

I'm going to give it to whomever was coaching third in the 8th when Chris Adams didn't score on the Sac Fly. Not that he would've, there would have definitely been a play, I was at SS with the ball, ready to relay. But that would have been the tying run. Who was that third base coach? For shame!!! hahahahahah

Or so we thought. Actually final score was 13-11 not 12-11 upon further reflection. But, anyway, it seemed crucial at the time.

That was me coaching third, and I was say "Tag, tag, tag..." for the entire time. By the time Chris got back to third and was ready to tag, the ball was pretty much all the way back in the infield, so I told him to hold. At the time I think it was a good call, seeing as how the top of the lineup was coming up.

The ball was hit to deep left-center. There is no reason the baserunner runs at all--either you tag, or, if they don't catch it, you can esily score anyway from there.

The coach doesn't just direct runners durring a play... ytou remind the of the situation. The coach must say "Stay!"

Anyway, seemes like it ultamitly didn'tr matter.

Well, found out today that I received a mild concussion while diving for a ball (some of you may remember me sitting on the grass for a couple minutes after a play).

I think getting injured while playing trying to make the play cancels out a few of my shitty at-bats! J

So, yeah, I may not even come next week (for sure not play). Also, I’m not supposed to use a computer for more that 10 minute, the Doc said (the bright screen hurts the head.) I can’t say when the stats will be updated… I am so sorry about that!

Cuong, dude, kick a man when he's down, why don't ya?

Peter, there's two places you really don't want to go against doctors orders - the head and the spine, so take it easy, man.
