New Stats Server

Post by Baseball=Life »

Hey, check out the new system for stats. This is a link to the website where the stats will live

http://www.allprosoftware.net/Oakland_P ... all_Stats/

It is just the rough draft right now. I need to iron out a lot of kinks, including possibly re-entering all the stats again. Currently, I have only entered current season games (Games starting July 6, 2008). This system looks like it will have major potential. Already, game logs are available. Boxscores don't look right yet, and I may need to change the way I entered teams, etc.

So stay tuned, but here's a little something to gnaw on in the meantime!

Looks good.

Wish I'd remembered to correct the score sheet and give myself the double I hit to right field in the 8th or so of Sunday's game. 2 for 6 looks much better then 1 for 6.

Arrrgghh!!!!

Thanks Scott. Remind me to kick you so moolah on Sunday before I K you like 5 times.

Well, I think we have the technology figured out. Apparently, since the software itself will never understand our pick-up league format, we have to data-enter everything into the software, then export the data to Excel, then repost it, or some shit like that.

Here's the problem though.... my computer is back to being a piece of shit. Windows won't be stable for me. This doesn't mean I can't enter in recent games though, i'll just have to do it from my work computer or something. Hopefully i can install the software on that computer additionally.

Anyway, it's a work in progress, and I'm trying to make it happen.

I guess the latest is this:

My computer has been at a nerd friend's house for the last month. He's been doing all sorts of shit to it, trying to stabilize it. I think the latest approach is to arrange a dual boot so Windows XP can exist alongside Vista. I'm hoping to hear from him on this soon, because I'm fucking sick and tired of using my cell phone for internet.

I want the stats back up, even though I've been on the DL. Hopefully it will happen soon. Sorry there's nothing yet.

If this doesn't work, is it worth considering going back to the excel-based format we used first?
