What is the impact of the Tigers agreeing to a $75 million deal with Ordonez?

I think this gets them only to 3rd in the AL Central, but it'll be a close race all along. Here are my picks

Ordonez is a major gamble. If it works out, the Tigers will contenders at least by next year. If not, they'll be out of it for the next 5. If Ordonez can bounce back and have a decent year, the Tigers will be able to attract more fans, and thus have players actually look at them as an up-and-coming ballclub, rather than the perennial losers they have been.

Either way Magglio's numbers will fade, because they park in Detroit is not a hitters park at all, but with a healthy Ordonez and Pudge in the lineup, I think the tigers can suprise some people (especially in the suckfest called AL Central.)

I love Torii Hunter, but the Twins aren't going to be in first next season. Sure, the AL Central sucks, but the Twins are totally Metrodome-dependent. Their record on the road is weak. Think of every postseason series where they falter at home. Plus the lost Corey Koskie. That's a big loss in HR power for a team that already was weak in terms of pop. Now the Twins will have to rely on Justin Morneau picking up the slack. I like him, but he's not sufficient without protection in the lineup. Plus, the Twins are relying on Brad Radke having another big year.......... doubtful. How old is that guy? Plus they lost Carlos Silva. Who is in their rotation besides Cy Young winner Johan Santana. It's hard to believe he was a Rule 5 guy not that long ago.
