Guys... we need a place to play. Otherwise, we have a field if you want to come down 880 to play us. Get back to me ASAP so I can tell the crew where to be around 1 Sunday afternoon.

For the record, I broke my thumb sliding to catch a Dan Rivera line drive. My right thumb bent toward my wrist under my body weight, leading to a partial avulsion fracture, also known as "gamekeeper's thumb." I must brag that I lined a single off the very same Dan Rivera immediately afterwards.

Nice collection. I take you'll be making the lineup and positions Scott?

What are you 2 for 30 against me now? Don't come asking me for any more batting tips. If this is how you repay me...screw you.

Kidding. Great hit. I may actually start concentrating when you hit now instead of trying to toy with you in order to make you look silly.

Actually, I haven't faced you much since we've usually been teammates in live games. In fact, I think I'm 3 for 3 off you -- 2/2 on Sunday and a jam-shot bloop double to left in a relief appearance you made a month or so ago. Respeck! :P

I think we should try to show up at 11:30 AM or so on Sunday. We need to go through Stratagy, Signs, Etc. I think it would be better to do this before the other team arrives. Scott maybe you could come up with some stuff before you come to the game on Sunday.

That's a good idea to arrive early and prepare. Remember, though, this is all for fun, so don't get too obsessive about it. I don't think they're a formal team either, so strategy/signs are a good idea, but they may not have much prepared in terms of that when they arrive.

And, Kenyatte, between Nick and I, we should be able to grab you from the nearest BART station. Who knows, maybe we'll be playing at El Cerrito Vista and you'll be the closest to it of all of us! Of course, being prompt is always good for pick-ups since there seems to always be other loose ends I'm taking care of before games.

EDIT: Oh, and, yeah, good idea Pat on me figuring out preliminary signs, etc., prior to Sunday. I'll do that.

Far from an organized team. And signs are great... go ahead and have fun. I think we should put some limit on steals though, cause our legs are much better than our arms. Maybe two straight steals per half-inning? (not counting pastballs/wildpitches)
