I like that idea of paying someone to keep score... neighborhood kid ? or a late player ?

I'd totally be up for tossing in a few bucks...

... were it not for the fact that I'm having some financial issues at the moment. I'll pitch in when I can, but right now I gotta hang onto every penny :(
Rules:
1. I am always right.
2. If I am ever wrong, read rule number 1.

Hehehe, maybe people would try and come late to get paied! But, that seems like a good way to keep late-comers happy.

Another option would be someone's girlfriend (ahem, Manuel) who's at the game. Or dad. Or friend. We have many, many options.

C'mon, now.

Don't be shy, Peter. We all know you don't want Manny's g/f around just for the scorekeeping.

Haha! Well, cheerleaders are always good to have. But no, that's not what I ment Nick! Just that since she's always there or on the phone, we could put her to work.

When I was in High School, the teachers would give students extra credit if they went to a team baseball game. The turnout was good... but, for some reason, mostly girls showed up.

For the record, the team and I were quite happy with the turnout we had!

I was looking at the air photo of DeFremery, and I got to thinking that everyone is obviously getting different readings because they're using monitors with different sizes. Therefore, the photo was printed and measured in millimeters for the closest readings. Here are my measured distances:

Code: Select all

LF foul pole: 213 ft.
LC lightpost: 238 ft.
CF corner : 303 ft.
RC lightpost: 244 ft.
RF foul pole: 215 ft.
Now, since the little box that says "1 in. - 50 ft." is actually 7/8 in. long on the printout, I can't entirely vouch for the measurements. If a conversion is required, the converted distances would be:

Code: Select all

LF foul pole: 244 ft.
LC lightpost: 272 ft.
CF corner : 347 ft.
RC lightpost: 279 ft.
RF foul pole: 246 ft.
If we can get that surveyor's tape, we can find out for sure and put an end to it all.
