Are hittin' tha Rock?
Going 6/5 and scoring a 1/2 run???
You must be enjoying the college partying. Ah, I miss it.
No, I know you're kidding. But it will be interesting to see how you do, you've been on a tear for several games now.
But to bat 1 or 2? Hmmm...
Talk about giving 110%...

But your speed is more critical than your power... we have several guys who can jack one outta the park. But only a few of us have that speed, and I'm still sure that you are the fastest guy out there. The the other big boppers can drive you in.
There is still my thory of the second leadoff guy at the 5 or 6 spot... power for RBIs, speed like a lead-off guy.

On the one hand I think past the first 2 innings or so, I'm not sure that the position in the lineup matters much in our games. With so many runs being scored, we don't end up following the Major leagues in the tempo of the game.
That having been said, don't put me batting 9th again (or last in the lineup, or whatever).
"But Dan, you're hitting .200 in the last 3 games!"
Yeah, I didn't play for about 2 months. I've got the timing and stance down again though, so I'm ready for another 8 hit game
"Oh ok, but if you don't get a bunch of hits you'll have to wear a dress and we get to call you Sally."
Hey look, just because I did it that one time... erm... nevermind
*cough*

Wow, there was actually a day when Peter L. hadn't cleared the fence at DeFremery. I guess, technically, everyone had a time when they hadn't yet knocked one out of there, even Will.retep wrote: not true... I've had 2 inside the parks--But, yeah, Onle day I'll get one over a fence.

Re: Peter as Leadoff Hitter
It was a hell of a long time. I forget how many, but I think I was around 70 at-bats before I popped one out. I was a 1, 2 for the most part back then. My first day batting 4th was a very odd one indeed!Baseball=Life wrote:Baseball=Life wrote: And, man, you were inches away from that first career HR at DeFremery.
