I was skimming over the season stats when something caught my eye. There's been one thing I've joked about all season, and now it's come true. I am the only player in the entire league to have more runs than hits in the season. In fact, Scott, the perennial lead-off hitter, has more RBI than I have hits. It's pathetic, and it needs to change.
I intended to write something to remind everybody of my superior prowess.

Hey, 2 people said "designate for assignment" -- geez, what did you do to piss them off?

It's gotta be tough really wanting to play but also not being able to grip the bat. The way I see it there are two things you can do:

1. Play through it. Make a serious attempt to forget about your stats. Have fun and be out there and play baseball. Risk the wrath of your one-day teammates for not being 100% (though they should understand).

2. Shut it down. Don't aggravate the injury. Let it fully heal and then come back better than ever (after you shake the rust off).

I suppose my post wasn't that helpful. After thinking about it, I lean towards you playing, even though my poll response was "shut it down."

nick i feel your pain i could very quickly have more roes than hits currently i have 31 hits and 19 roes. and in the last game i have gone 1 for 6 with 2 roes, that makes it twice in a row.
So long, and thanks for all the fish. - Douglas Adams
