It sounds like you're going to have alot of fun this week, but sadly, when I requested to work on Super Bowl Sunday, it somehow got translated to the "superiors" that I wanted to work every Sunday. Anyway, after clearing up that error, I still have to work this Sunday. Hence, missing the barbeque. This irritates me to no end since I missed the last one. I shall return next week.

I have a little smokey joe. I was gonna bring some Berkeley Top Dogs but that looks covered. What else is missing ? All I see dawgs and beuhr.

Those parks on Central will more than likely be in use Sunday and Scott has already put the notice out. BUT for a change of pace at some point. There is a beautiful field where I played with Rob's softball gig in Alameda on the corner of Auginbaugh Way & Robert Davey Jr. Dr. It is just our size and we would have a ball there. For Retep.. it favors lefties over righties also.

It is on Bay Farm Island in Alameda near the bay. The # 50 bus runs 2 blocks away from Fruitvale or Coliseum BART-- and it has grills and is rarely used.

While that will not be able to be used this Sunday (like you said, notice already sent out), we do have these BBQs 2x a year (around the end of each 6 month season) that will certainly be good to know this summer, when we have the next one (probably around July/August). Whoa, I really abused parenthesis in this post.

As for materials...... ok we've got beer, soda, plates/utensils, hot dogs, buns, burgers, cheese...... and I think it's probably likely that things like chips will be brought by someone not posting in the forum.

So for grills, AntMo, Pablo, Nick, and Nick (again) have smokey joes, so that's 4 grills. We should be covered for sure with that many. But, what do I know, I'm a freakin' vegetarian. But, yeah, I think that will be enough.

Charcoal / source of fire will be useful as well, of course.

I'm going to try to pick up some bags of Lazzari Mesquite, but if that doesn't pan out, I'll go for some Kingsford briquets. If anyone else knows where to get Mesquite, call me (if you have my #) or PM me.
I intended to write something to remind everybody of my superior prowess.
