Public apology

Post by Dave L »

Hey guys, sorry for my imature act of storming off before the game ended yesterday. It's just that getting picked off for the SECOND TIME after getting a nice bottom 9th lead off single was the final straw in a game that for me was a roller coaster ride of near greatness and blatant bungles.

I heard and although didn't show it, very much appreciated the encouraging comments as I was leaving.

I love playing and hanging out with you guys and just want to be a desirable teammate. And that I'll continue to work on...

Yeah, thanks for stating that, Dave. I'm glad you see what was wrong with your departure. Lucky for all of us your team didn't rally and so an awkward scenario was avoided. By the way, nice catch Chris. See ya at the next game!

PS: if you haven't voted, vote now! (I can't recall if you have or not.)

Choose top 3 for MVP, rank them in order.
Choose top 3 for Most Improved Player, rank them in order
Choose 2 for outifield Gold Gloves
Choose 3 for infield Gold Gloves

Email your votes to Peter at pl_retep@yahoo.com by Feb 7th or your vote won't count! Don't wait until the last minute!

Sorry Dave, we decided that this public outburst was unacceptable and that none of us want to see you again.

Additionally we'll be sending groups out to TP your house and physically assault you at various times throughout February.

We all have our good and bad days on the field, physically and emotionally... and we all know how much it sucks to feel like you let your team down. Just come back out there next week and be a great teammate (i.e. your normal self).

Edit: Not to mention I was responsible for both of those double plays. Sorry, Dave.

Dave, You have a good sportsmanship track record, so I thought this incident was unusual. I appreciate your responsibility in apologizing and all will be forgotten. See you next week.
