I NEED Baseball This Week!

Everything else that isn't strictly related to park baseball. Use your imagination.

I NEED Baseball This Week!

I'm having a crazy time in SF working to stop 20 schools from closing...its political mayham here! Just saying how much a great baseball game with all of ya will be such a relief!

Hey Peter... Why is it good to keep open x number of schools @ 30 % - 60 % capacity and divert money from other schools that could use it there by improving the overall health of the ENTIRE district? If you have 2 of 3 underperferming manufacturing plants, you consolidate right.

Just one of my center wing conspiracy rants

No Schools are at 30 % - 60 %. And some schools will close, but just not 26 (as proposed).

What we are trying to do is get money from the City gov to pay for this year, so we can build a long-term, community-based plan to try and turn the trend of losing students around, rather than trying to put a band-aid on a broken bone.

Also, the fact that black students are being affected at rate 200% higer than they are represent in the schools is also gives pause over the concern to communites in the City.

You'll see, we're right on this one.

I donno... 700 students and parents were at the school board meeting Thursday night. Seems good to me.

But, yes, that is a goal. But how can we expect parents to be proactive when the staff of the school district won't hardly engage them when they are closing a school down?
