10/2/05 live game - BOXSCORE is up!

Post by Baseball=Life »

Hey, go check out the boxscore from the 10/2 live game. It was amazing how improved the pitching was from prior games. So few walks!! It was a great game, and went so smoothly that even Peter L. might want to take part in the next one.

The only area that still needs a major improvement is CATCHING PEOPLE STEALING BASES. Like older "live" games, the baserunners kept on stealin' bases (Myself, I stole 4) without ever being caught. So pitchers need to keep the runners closer to the bases, infielders need to give those pitchers better targets to keep the runners close, and catchers need to make stronger throws to the bases.

But, again, an incredibly improved "live" game, from just about every perspective.

Agreed on all accounts. A fun and exciting game. Andrew (as expected) dominated on the mound, but this time with great control and a nasty breaking pitch to suplement his heat. I was very happy with the quality of play in yesterday's game!
