Players of the Game
Players of the Game
I have to nominate Nick Cox for his awesome play at short yesterday. No joke, it was one of the cleanest days for a shortstop we've... and the plays were made at clutch moments too. I was in centerfield, and had a great look at all the plays he made. And in a one-run game, his plays may have been the key.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. What I found interesting from a scoring perspective is that his game-ending play to get me at 2nd base wasn't nominated to be a webgem, while his catch of a line drive earlier in the game was. Sure, he got a double play out of that play, but it wasn't as hard of a play as the one he did to end the game.
But, yeah, Nick C. for player of the game. 3/5, run scored, webgem.
Honorable mention would have to go to Chris A., who also went 3/5, with 2 runs scored, 2 doubles, and 3 RBI. He was the only player from either team with multiple extra-base hits. Plus, he's usually an outfielder, but he started a 5-4 double play from 3rd base to kill a crucial rally in the 8th inning.
Bravo.
And it was awesome when Peter L. hit that homerun.
