Batting Avg. Leader

Post by Pat K »

5/29- Scott takes over the average lead in the second game of a doubleheader at Curt Flood. At .5490196, he sneaks by me(Pat@.5479452) by just .0010744. Congratulations Scott, but all I have to say is; I am only that close because of my backhanded layout(WG) in shallow Left to rob you of a hit. If that had fallen, you would be proudly be standing above .550 with a Average of .5555555. But NO it found my trusty leather. Anyway good game.

Thanks Pat. Yeah, man, that was a great robbery catch by you. Thank god I had a good 2nd game, because that first game was weak for me (2/6). I'm going to check out Batting Averages for the month of May and post them up soon.

I look forward to a good battle between you, Ken, & I, plus folks like Anthony who will have the necessary ABs to qualify very soon.

Note my post about the end of Season 1 being a month away ------- plenty of At-Bats left for anyone to take over, even Nick, Peter, Paul, etc.

If I go 9 for 9 on Sunday I'll be 31 for 60, good for a .51666... average, which would put me on the board...! ;)

Hey

Post by gohlkus »

actually I just noticed an error in the May 22 box score, game 1. I was there for the whole game and am not listed at all! I left in the first inning of game 2, and I'm listed there.... can we go back to the May 22 sheet and figure out what happened?

(cool, fixed, thanks)

wait wait wait
keep in mind that if i somehow manage to pull together 60 at bats this season im currently hitting .650
the word WOOT comes to mind
of course, since iirc the live games dont count, i only have 2 days to do that
and being at a measely 18 at bats at the moment that means i have to average 10 and a half at bats a game over the last 4 games and continue my truly amazing hitting prowess
but next season, oh next season when i manage to go sub .400
hehehe
