A's fans VS. Giants fans the Game

Play ball! Then talk about it. Or vice versa.

A's fans VS. Giants fans the Game

Post by Pat K »

I was just thinking about this last Sunday. Seeing as this weekend is A's vs. Giants, would'nt it be cool to have our Sunday game this week an A's fans vs. Giants fans. We could have everone come in their teams gear. Those that do not have any team gear(not true fans) would be put on whatever team my need them, as to try and make it even.

That's a great idea. (One that has been kicked around before I think.) I for one would love to participate (as a trying-to-hang-in-there-as-an-avid Giants fan :( ) but will be out of town this weekend. Should definately make it the following weekend (May 29th). So I vote to have this game on the 29th or thereafter but I realize I'm just one vote...and I realize there is a bay bridge series this weekend which would be a nice parallel.

One way or the other, see everyone the 29th...

I don't think we have enough Giants fans, I can only think of four off the top of my head:
Peter, Rich, Dave and myself. Did I miss anyone? Even then Dave can't make it, so we'd have to put a bunch of people on the Giants side who aren't fans, certainly anyone undecided.
That said it could be fun, if the teams look reasonably well balanced then we should do it.

I will be sporting A's gear for the game later that night -- luckily it's been rescheduled for 5:05, so I won't miss our game or that one (woo hoo)!

I should get one of those $5 hats from the scalpers outside the coliseum so I have a cheap A's hat I can sweat in for park baseball....

That's as bad as buying a $15 hat and ruining it

Hmm, maybe I should see if there's a cheap one available online or at the stadium then.
