what? when?

To furthur prove my claim I specifically remember Daniel striking out in a game when he was batting lead-off and I was batting 2 (or vice-verca), yet he has no career Ks... hmm

way to back it up the Daniel K with the boxscore

so, as for that issue with the 4/3 stats, it has been corrected. We do in fact have a new single-game RBI leader, William with 8 (rather than the 9 initially thought). The boxscore for that game has been updated and can be input, Peter.

Now working on the boxscores from today's games (4/10)

Peter's Team pos AB H R 2B 3B HR RBI K WG
Ken 3B 6 4 3 1
Peter 1B-RF 6 3 2 1
Jake CF 6 4 2 2 2
Paul RF-1B 6 3 1 2
Mike C 6 1 1 1
James SS 7 1
James S. LF 6 5

Can someone tell me how James went 1 for 7, while the rest of the team before him had 6 At Bats only?

Wow, I'm 21st in at bats since we started keeping score for real. Huh. Maybe I should come to the games more often.

AT-BAT DISCREPANCY in 4/10 game 1

Post by Baseball=Life »

Hey Daniel, kudos to you for catching that scoring anomaly.

I've examined the scoresheets from this game (4/10 game 1), and my best determination is that James batted out of order to lead off the 5th. This is why he ended up with a bonus AB.

There were no recorded sacrifices, and obviously no walks or hit-by-pitches, so everytime someone came to the plate, it was an AB.

I have made a change to the scoresheet that I think will help us to avoid this happening again. Now, the "AT-BATS" column is no longer one big wide column. Instead, it is now a series of several smaller columns. This means every at-bat will have a separate column, and it will be much much easier to determine who is due to lead off an inning. (Not to mention it will make it much easier for me to create the boxscores.)

I have created an Excel spreadsheet (using the new scoresheet template) that shows what went wrong in that 4/10 game 1. You can tell from looking at it that clearly it was a matter of accidentally batting in the wrong order.

I guess I can't post that excel spreadsheet to this forum, however. If someone knows how I can, tell me and I will. Well, trust me, it makes it clear what happened.

I'm sure you'll like the new scoresheet template, it's going to make scoring easier and cleaner. Note: I only changed the AB column, nothing else was changed.
