3/27/05 Boxscore is up........... booyacasha!

Post by Baseball=Life »

Uh, yeah.

The Boxscore for Game One from Easter Sunday 3/27/05 is up. Game 2 stats had to be deleted because we weren't able to accurately keep them due to the rain. I had a pencil but I lost it, so the pens we were using were streaking and getting all messed up with the rain.

This sucks particularily since I had a record 2 web-gems in one game, not to mention it was only a 6 inning game. I need to be in the outfield more often! Notice I threw out 2 runners at the plate too!

Anyway, Kenyatte, do I even need to point out to you how incorrect you are about DeFremery? Look at the box score and then try to convince me about how DeFremery is fake steroid baseball. Take a look at it. Notice the score is lower than the last several games at both Curt Flood and Raimondi. That really makes your entire point of view fall apart. Plus, we all had a great time, you really missed out on it. So there. :?

I have not been at the other field you speak of...but I loved playing with you guys today. It was cool. The defence was in full effect.

Sure Scott. Use the lowest scoring game in Defremery history to prove that games at Defremery don't have high scores.

Oh... and on a completely unrelated matter- when was the last time you saw 10 doubles in a real baseball game?

2004 MLB

Post by Baseball=Life »

Saw that in 2004 in MLB, I think it was Indians vs Rangers. It happens all the time, you're just out of the loop. Baseball isn't just 1-0 pitchers' duels. Don't get me wrong, I love those type of games, but, let's be real, high scoring games happen all the time in real pro baseball.

Sigh. According to sports illustrated there were 8919 doubles last season. That's an average of 3.67 doubles per game. I'll have to brush up on my statistics if you want me to tell you the % chance of there being 10 doubles in any given game, but I think it's fair enough to say that the feat simply does not happen "all the time", In fact- I can tell you that it is extremely uncommon.

Scott, I understand that you have your goals and I have mine, but don't try to BS me... I'm trying to be straight up about this and I would like you to do the same.

I agree, and I'm not arguing that our games should be 1-0, 2-1 or anything like that. But 25-23? 19-18? Come on...
I've posted my thoughts on the topic of "too much scoring" in the thread I started in general. If you would like to debate that topic further, we should do it there.
