Goat of the Game - 1/30/05

Post by retep »

Yeah, some people fucked up.

Myself- 3-4, but got thrown out trying for two, and didn't score a single run, plus that easy 3-unassisted double play that rolled past me into RF, and getting a K (and smashing my bat after)

Paul C.- Sorry bud, but 4 Ks gets you in the record book.

Nick W.- Dosen't realy belong here, but I needed a third person. He's nominated, cuz he saw his AVG drop nearly .100 points.

Any others?

Peter, WTF are you talking about?

Actually, I like to think it was my excellent slide back into 3rd base that allowed the rally to last so long. So you're right. I really don't belong here.
I intended to write something to remind everybody of my superior prowess.

Is that you Cuong? sign in!

Yeah, sorry about taking you out :( I felt bad, but I'm good at blame-shifting:

New goat of the game, Michael P.! That's what happens when you insist you are a great outfielder and blow the 9th!

Then again, just like Bill Buckner of the BoSox, the rest of the team made plenty of errors as well. (for example, me)

I have to be considered for the Goat of the Game.... In the top of the 9th, when the visiting team got what would be the winning run across, I made a horrendously weak throw from short centerfield to home. With even a good throw (not a great throw) we could've had him at the plate. But in my relay, I lost the grip, and bowled a 3-hopper.

TERRIBLE!!!!
