Just wanted to give people a chance to boast about a really good play they made with the Defremery Park group. Their fave.
Mine would be a play I made a bunch of months ago playing 2B, right when i first started playing with ya'll. A ground ball was hit between me and the first baseman (I forget who was there, Josh maybe?). The first baseman missed the ball. I cut behind him and scooped it up. With no one covering first, I got into a foot race with the batter. I ended up diving to tag first base with my glove to get the out.
You turn.............
What's you best play?

My favorite play was a few months ago, possibly september or october. We were playing with some ex-DeFremery All-Stars. A ball was softly lined to 3rd by I think Rob, when it tipped off the 3rd baseman's (Eric's) glove and I made a full extension dive headlong to save the ball just above the grass. Big RBI situation, too.

I don't usually remember individual plays I make unless they REALLY stick out, so I'll just list all the plays I vividly remember
I've made a couple of long running catches in center, one up against the fence in left-center a while ago, and the one Sunday over my shoulder, near the fence in right-center.
I remember one day when it was raining and I robbed Josh of three straight hits. The first one was a line drive right at me that I caught, the second and third times I got him out, he ripped it down the line, I dove to glove it and threw him out. No one seemed to make a big deal out of those plays (I guess cuz Josh didn't exactly motor down the firstbase line) but next to Peter's play a few weeks ago, I think those were some of the best plays that have been made on the DeFrem infield (it's really not well suited for diving outs on ground balls)

I'll go with the one where I caught the ball after Paul tipped it up in the air back at Defermery a while back. While it wasn't a spectacular diving catch, I think it was the most heads-up play I've ever had, especially getting the runner from first doubled up in the 9th inning of a really close ballgame.
