Mark your calendar: 8/15, 7 pm, $2 A's tickets!

Post by gohlkus »

If you want to join a few of us at the A's game Wednesday night, August 15, vs. the ChiSox, let me know. I purchased 10 tickets to this one.

These are some of the best available $2 tickets, in the second deck, NOT in the infernal plaza bleachers. They should be right next to another block of tickets that Scott bought also, so it'll be a big group of people, assuming he doesn't sneak into a more expensive section like last time.

And don't forget: $1 hot dogs! If you didn't come to the first $2 game, you missed Paul buying 10 dogs and filling up a drink tray with ketchup and mustard, for dipping purposes. I already miss that guy.

The most recent $2 game was a wild success, too, as I purchased a $2 can of chili before the game and made dollar dogs into $1.20 chili dogs. Your mileage may vary.

Glad you asked.

Opened the can and heated the chili to near boiling at home... put it in a resealable bowl... put it in a plastic bag with an oven mitt for insulation... put it in a larger bag... hot day... voila, warm even through the 7th inning stretch!

Of course, I'll put you down for two. Sorry for the delay; I don't log on very often.

I haven't really publicized this very much yet, and it's coming up. I'll remind myself to bring the tickets to the live game Sunday.

Oh, by the way, AntMo, today I saw the comment you had posted earlier on the A's Drumbeat blog... nice! Interesting to randomly see someone I know posting on a blog. I've posted a couple times. VK is kind of a tool.
