Baseball Behind the Walls- San Quentin Sat Jun 2

Post by mp1045 »

Well-
I was able to work a miracle with a state bureaucrat- we are in and ready for SQ on Sat 6/2.
Here's the deal:
-Arrive @parking lot @8am -meet to go in TOGETHER AS A GROUP ONLY.
-MUST have DL or STATE ISSUED PICTURE ID
-WEAR NO BLUE! NO JEANS! Try to wear A's(or green) gear, & baseball pants if you can. I have dubbed us the Oakland Park A's (go G's & A's)
Bring minimal stuff-WATER, SUNSCREEN
they play with WOOD BATS- we can use whatever
NO CEL PHONES, CAMERAS OR WEAPONS
I would love to have 4-5 helmets for the team -- I own 1 good one & 1-2 OK helmets.

Ken-Please contact me -I NEED MY GLOVE!
Nick-can you call to talk about gear, rides etc.
Thanks-

Players (and possible pos/order)

Couple of questions:

1. Can we bring food?

2. Where are we going to be using the bathroom? Yes, this concerns me.

3. Can someone give me a ride? I will meet at any BART Station or you can pick me up at 1510 Prince Street, betw. Sacramento & California.

4. Nick, Mike...Pablo brought a new bag to last Sunday's game which he was supposed to give to Scott but obviously could not with Scott being away. I was unable to secure a ride back home so he grabbed the bases and the helmets. Can we work out a plan to get the helmets, or everything for that matter before Saturday? I work in the city so I'll try and contact him to see if he'll bring them to my job but if it requires driving it will have to be someone else.

Thanks,

Dan R.

Couple of questions:

1. Can we bring food?
yes - no coolers, or else you may have to go in the cooler

2. Where are we going to be using the bathroom? Yes, this concerns me.
I can't remember- I think that there is a port-a-john --we will have a liaason (the manager of the SQ Giants) he is a dtate employee, not a con

3. Can someone give me a ride? I will meet at any BART Station or you can pick me up at 1510 Prince Street, betw. Sacramento & California.
I could maybe pick you up unless someone else is closer. I may be picking Ken up. It would be about 7:30am.

4. Nick, Mike...Pablo brought a new bag to last Sunday's game which he was supposed to give to Scott but obviously could not with Scott being away. I was unable to secure a ride back home so he grabbed the bases and the helmets. Can we work out a plan to get the helmets, or everything for that matter before Saturday? see above-
Do you have Pablo's contact? Can you email it? I am still looking for my 1B mitt(old Wilson) Ken had my Easton fielder's glove.

Hey, Pablo gave me the equipment bag (has bases, a few helmets, some baseballs) and I dropped that off at Nick's house a few hours ago. Someone should call him, because he may not see this thread and doesn't check his email that often--he probably doesn't know it's going to happen.
