How about them photos?

Post by gohlkus »

Dave's pictures are great -- a lot of really great closeups and action shots -- thanks, Dave!

The look of concentration on Rich's face and on Scott's face (especially) while in mid-swing are priceless. Great candid shots of Scott orchestrating the whole thing... and you can't beat the shot of Carlos' son (what's his name?).

Photos = Great

The photos are really good. And I like how Nick trimmed them down so we can use them as avatars. There's no denial for me anymore---I need a haircut.

The one of Dorian and I waiting for Cuong as he crosses home plate after a HR (in the 8th) is really good. Same with the one of Chris making some solid contact. The action shot of Manuel running from 2nd, also good.

Thanks to Dave and Jason for taking the pictures! Well done. It really makes the stats on the site and the posts on the Forum easier to visualize (obviously).

Jason-- is there a way you could have the heading still on the photos page?

I actually like this one

It looks all artistic and such.

But where are the pictures of me

Hey, I'm glad you all seem to like the photos. They're fun to take. Not as much fun as playing but... Anyway, I have some more from last week. I'll get those out to Peter and Scott and/or should I get them to Jason? Nice work on the thumbnails and webpage, Jason.

Dave, can I get a copy of those pics? I'll add them to the photos page. It's just a basic table with hand-edited thumbnails, but I need originals to make the thumbs.

Sure, I can get you the pics. You're Nick, right? But I'm getting a little confused as to who's posting the photos to the website. So far I've sent photos to Peter, Scott, Jason and now you're requesting them. I don't mind sending them to anyone who wants them but do all 4 of you want/need them? Please advise...

I've put the photos on the .tk website. Think black background. Jason did the galleries with the white backgrounds hosted on this site. Scott did the scoresheets through his own geocities account, but Peter was the one who originally set the .tk website up with Yahoo! PageBuilder which sucks so terribly that I almost set fire to my computer last night over a fucking case-sensitive file extension bullshit malfunction.

Okay, from now on I defer all photo posting to Nick, since he seems to have the time and wants to do it (and I like the way you did the thumbnails, Nick).

So, Dave, no need to send them to me.

Nice work on the site redesign, too -- it's clean.

Jason the Ump

Post by Baseball=Life »

Hey Jason,

It's cool to see you're an Umpire now ! No longer Forum Commish!?!

Anyway, yeah, Dave, I think only Nick needs the pics from here on out. I had been tenatively waiting to see what would happen.... I didn't want to tell or I should say ask anyone to do it permanently, so I left my email in the loop as a back-up option. (Thank god Nick is ready to do it, because if I had done it, it would have looked terrible, if view-able at all! And of course, Jason was willing as well.)

But, yeah, it looks like Nick's in a good position to handle it in terms of time, etc. You should get his main email address from him for any further pictures (please please please keep takin' 'em---they're awesome). The email you have is a backup that he doesn't check often.

Cool. Hope you're having a great time on vacation! (Who knows... with internet cafes all over nowadays, you might even see this message mid-vacation!)

Now that the site's been re-done, my only current task will be to update the career stats and records!

(I know how to make basic changes to the HTML, like to change numbers and such)
