				Update on Bill's Status

One of our guys went down hard in the 7th last week, and his ankle exploded in the process. I just spoke to him today after he underwent reconstructive surgery. It looks like he's going to be okay after all, but there's a lot of recovery waiting for him. Scott just underwent something identical, and the doctors told him he'll be on the field by September. I suspect BIll will get back to playing by Christmas.

I guess you'd call is sliding

he was going into third base, and realized that he didn't need to slide. So he kinda pulled up half way into the slide.

I don't see him being ready by September. That's when I'll be ready, but my surgery was January 12th. So he shouldn't be ready until well after Sept.

The surgery was successful. I spoke with him last Monday about it, luckily while he was still doped up on morphine. WOW, what a fun conversation!

He definitely won't be ready by September. He has about another 80 pounds on Scott. I estimate he'll be ready for at least a pinch-hit role sometime around Christmas.

Funny I came back way before any one expected only to be picked off again by work! I should be back in January when we slow down and hopefully not needing a pinch runner anymore ha ha ha.
