We're looking for gas powered lawnmowers or weed whackers to take to that infield grass at Curt Flood before our game against SJ on Sunday. It'd be great if we could chop this big job down into a lot of little parts so one person isn't stuck doing a whole bunch of manual labor.
I'm gonna swing by the localTool Lending Libraries (Berkeley/Oakland) on Monday to see if I can pick up any useful tools and I will be heading out to Flood on Wednesday, Friday or Saturday to try and get some of this done. If anyone else is willing to help out with this (either by lending tools or by shreddin' some grass) I would greatly appreciate it.
Tai said that mowing the infield took a couple of hours when he did it which hopefully means if we split the job two or three ways then it won't seem like too much of a hassle.
So let me know if you're interested in helping out and I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday (at the latest)

Thanks for the help. Yeah, I agree the more people that help, the more doable the task is. Note: it may be difficult to do it during day time, when school is in session. That may cause some suspicion, awkwardness, unwanted attention, etc. Actually, maybe school's not in session... I don't really know.
And I'm down to help for sure. I have a push mower that we've used before. It's all right, but not that effective. I'm sure that any other device would be superior to the thing I have.

so the oakland TLL (tool lending library) doesn't have any gas powered tools but I could theoretically pick up another push mower.
I don't know if the Berkeley TLL has gas tools or not, but i do know you need to live (or own property) in Berkeley to borrow from them, which I do not. If anyone who lives in berkeley would like to check out that option it could be a big help.
I don't think school is in session right now, I think we're in the break between summer school and regular classes, so this would theoretically be the best time to take care of it.
