Medic!
The last game we played looks great on paper (16-15) but the boxscore only tells half the story.
For those of you who couldn't make it to the 3/18 game, you should consider yourself lucky. There were numerous injuries and the game was stopped frequently to allow players time to recover. Had we a few more people available we would have been able to fill in for players, but it felt like a mid-October game where you have no choice but to sub one injured player for another.
Since the fence has been pulled from right field, deep right-center field has become a serious tripping hazard. I lost my footing in a posthole dug there and have the massive scab to prove it. The fence guarding the scoreboard in left is also very dangerous. There are loose metal poles sticking out sideways into midair which, when combined with the sharp spearheads sticking out from the top of the fence itself, make any approach toward the fence one of either hesitation or recklessness.
It is my personal opinion that we should disregard this field as a viable option until the fences have been repaired/replaced. I propose a second look at Golden Gate unless someone has any better ideas. I think the muddy patch and the tall grass at GG are annoyances which are far less dangerous than the hazards present at Nichol.

Yeah, I fully agree with you guys. Plus, Nichol has the issue of outfielders facing the sun and having to hope that a batted ball goes above the tree line if they want to keep track of it, and GG doesn't have that issue. Downside to GG (aside from the aforementioned wet RF aspect) is that the infield is only "Defremery Plus" size. Remember to be careful when wheeling around third if we do play there... there's a fence that could be in your way if you go outside the baseline too much.

Let's try Raimondi or that East Oakland field
Let's try Raimondi or that East Oakland field while it is still early --maybe on April 1 or April 8
I will be there for live on Sun @CF... sorry I missed the festivities last Sun 3/18.

That's a good idea, to try to check out Oakland High around 11-12 AM this Sunday 3/25... That should give us a good idea regarding whether it would be a valid field to use when not at CF.
The question is, who can check it out, considering they'll have to sacrifice playing in the actual 3/25 game?!?
Hmmmm

scot doesnt the 3 25 game start at 1 not the usual 11ish, so couldnt anyone swing by oakland high on their way to cf. they could leave a little later than normal stop by oakland high check it out and still arrive at CF by 12 45 easy, hell they could even arrive at 12 15, if they took a long time to warm up and wanted to make sure that they had a roster spot
