As of October 30th I will be going on the DL. I spent 4.5 hours in Kaiser this morning. X rays and all that good stuff. Doc said that in my reaction to get Dave's liner, I pulled some ligaments in my knee and broke a piece of my knee cap. Unfortunatly I will have to take the month of November off from OPB, so I will not tbe able to play in the next challange game.

Damn, man, that fucking sucks! Sorry to hear about that. I'm surprised that it will only take 30 days to deal with it--it sounds more like a 60 day DL situation.

At least you made the play--I know from my experiences that injuries frustrate me a little bit less if I make the play, or if I'm safe. If I make an error, or am called Out, then the injury is that much more frustrating.

Hang in there man. And, of course, take the rehab advice they will give you (or already have given you) seriously----it will make a big difference in terms of really recovering.

Yeah, Pat. Way to take one for the team. Sorry to hear about your knee. I know from personal experience how much that kind of thing can suck. Hopefully, we'll see you on the field before too long.

Broken kneecap and pulled ligaments? Boo-fucking-hoo! When I was your age, I pitched both games of a doubleheader with a ruptured appendix, a collapsed lung, and a shattered right arm. The next day I hit two grand slams after my scrotum fell off from leprosy. Tough it out you big pussy!

Get well Pat. Hey, now you have no excuse not to lay around and get lit. Enjoy. If only there were baseball to watch.
