It seems like a lot of our "regulars" have stopped showing up independent of any common cause.
i.e.
anthony- no car
rich- new job
pat- new wife
daniel- moved
dorian- moved
carlos- ?
will/shaun- ?
james- ?
jason- ?
given that we've had a handful of weeks with 10 or 11, then this (above) is the problem... perhaps a temporary coincidence?
I know we should all be playing our part in recruiting, but I'm not comfortable inviting my friends if I'm not sure that there will be a game (it's been a while since I have been), and I don't think that all of us spamming CL would be helpful... so... well... what should we do?
Turnout... again
Keep the faith, bro. Keep coming every week. That's the main thing. More people will show up when the weather is better. In the meantime, I for one really enjoyed it when we played 4 vs 4 vs 3 or whatever it was. So much baserunning, so many at-bats (even if they don't get counted for our stats), what's not to like about that? If we have 12 players, I would even argue that 4-4-4 is better than 6-6. That way we can even have a catcher.

I apologize for not showing up. Yes it is difficult w/o a car and also- as much as I love baseball... I don't care to play it in damp muddy weather- just not my gig... I'll see ya'll in Feburary...I want my name back near the top of the statistical leader board... I can't go out leaving my numbers where they are now.

Sorry I kind of disappeared since my 2 game stint in the summer. I got really busy with work. plus I also have a pretty serious knee problem, and I do not want to make it worse. Running bases, and running in the outfield (hell, running at all) aggrivates the knee. I would love to come and play every week, but it just has not seemed worth it to take the risk of severe injury. I literally have thought a lot about going down there and umpiring though lately. Maybe when things get back to normal I will do that on occasion.
