That was quite a game today. I have not seen the stats but Paul is my vote for MVP, 7 hits 1 big homer. That homer would probably be the highlight of the game. It would have been a grand slam had I not made the throw from CF on my knees to third on the play proceeding(note to Paul, Haha)
Anway I have to say, even though today I had 1 web gem and was nominated for a second, I left feeling I played pretty bad on defense. I dropped a routine pop, I also Ole Oled a few at third, and let at least 2 or 3 eat me up that I could have had.

Yeah, that was definitely a monstrous game from Paul, probably his best game ever. That home run was great--the best I think we've ever seen from him. That home run rivaled Chad's home run at Golden Gate, as well as the Will homerun at DeFremery that put a dent in the upper rail of the warehouse across the street. Good stuff.

Some quality defensive plays that weren't called webgems... I hope everyone is satisfied that we don't hand them out like free candy on halloween. haha

Seems you always have a good game if it is on or very close to your birthday. Dave and Peter both recently did, too. Anyone remember a counter-example?
Thanks for the props, much appreciated. Now I just have to repeat it with a wood bat!

10 RBI in one game !!!!!!!!!

Paul actually has a chance to catch Will in RBIs for season Two. Will leads with 49, Paul now has 37.

I would've never thought anyone could come anywhere close to Will after that 19 RBI game. Looks like Paul has a shot!

This is important because, otherwise, Will has the Triple Crown close to locked up.

Well, he does have new competition in the batting average race with Pat now qualifying and I'm also close behind him in batting average. (Pat .609, Will .567, Scott .566) And there's still time for lots of other people to get their averages up here to try to stop Will from the Triple Crown.

I just finished updating the career stats and the record book. It's interesting, Paul's big day also propelled him into the Career RBI lead over Will (90 versus Will's 89), even though Will leads for current season 2.
