10/2 live game - Player of the Game

Post by Baseball=Life »

Well this was a great game, our best "live" game so far, no doubt. I don't usually do boxscores for the live games, but I might do one this time later tonight or tomorrow morning. I think Player of the Game has to go to Andrew A., who pitched 5 innings, only giving up 4 runs, all unearned (sorry, 1 was my fault) --- he got the Win. He also hit the game winning RBI when he got a single in the 6th inning.

Man, I could not go today, but it sounds like it was fun. I actually do not think I could run bases though, as my knee is busted. What was the final score?

Since the boxscore is now up, check the main site to find out or click here. However, when you do, you will notice that Andrew actually gave up an earned run... THE ONLY ONE FOR THE AWAY TEAM!
I intended to write something to remind everybody of my superior prowess.

The goal is to have "live" games once a month. Because turnout and field availability is somewhat unpredictable, we sometimes have to alter the plan on whether to play "live" or "non-live".

Your best bet to get the latest information is to either

a) go to www.parkbaseball.cjb.net and look on the right hand column at the "Next Games" listings

b) read the Reminder Email that is sent out on the Thursday or Friday preceding the Sunday game

or

c) call the field status hotline Sunday morning after 9:30 AM (510 835 7694)

The Calandar section of the site is updated less frequently, so use the above methods first. I'm going to revamp the remainder of the Season 2 schedule to try to make up the missed Curt Flood and possibly the missed CF live game as well. After this is finalized the Calandar will be updated.
