Regular Practice
Regular Practice
I want to establish a regular practice schedule that could ever possibly be added to the master schedule. Tuesday evening (6-9) and Friday afternoon (1-4) would be ideal for me. Who can commit to (twice) weekly practices? When are you guys available? I think we should have at least one established day for practicing. At least one day and at least one evening practice weekly should be established to make it most possible for everyone who wants to practice to do so at least weekly.

Yep
Good idea, Ken.
I'm available for all Friday afternoon practices, although I need to preserve arm strength for the following Sundays. That shouldn't stop me from having solid, intense practices.

Sadly, friday is the one day I can't make it. Actually, monday is out, too. But, tuesday evening would be fine, likewise wednesday and thursday. So long as I only went to one practice a week, I reckon I can get the missus to accept.
I would be happy enough to get more practice as catcher, instead of pitching. All I need is for someone to bring a mask and the leg protector stuff, if we're practicing live pitching I guess I'll have to finally put all that crap on.

I'm in, I can go wherever, but no earlier than 6, probably 6:15. Is San Pablo likely to be available? I'll catch for whoever, maybe a little batting too. Ken, do you have or can you get hold of a mask and leg protectors?
If we're in a jam, we can just practice pitching without a hitter, that way we wouldn't even need a proper field, just a little open space with a fence to stop the balls that get past me. Hell, Defremery would work! A mound would be better, but not essential.

Raimondi
Raimondi might be available if you go early evening... maybe worth a check.
Has an OK mound, and is nicely trimmed. If you go prior to 6:00, it will surely be open. Nick and I went there to practice at like 4:00 yesterday with no problems.
Sorry, guys, but I have the mask and guards, and I'm about to head out of town to go camping. Hopefully you can get in a good practice without these items.
Don't worry, I'm breaking camp early Sunday AM and making the hour and 1/2 drive back for the 11:00 game!
(I might even be one of the starting pitchers... arm soreness or lack thereof will determine this Sunday morning.)

PRACTICE TUESDAY MAY 10TH AT BUSHROD FROM 6PM TO 9PM or until it's too dark to play.
Focal points:
-Live pitching and batting practice.
-Baserunning fundamentals (sliding correctly, leading off and HOW TO ALWAYS STAY ON THE BASE WHEN THE PITCHER ISN'T ON THE MOUND)
-Working with infielders on communicating with each other, as well as with the pitcher and catcher.
-Working with pitchers on their pickoff moves and on how to keep baserunners honest.
-Anything else that comes up and we have time for.
If you can't make it at six, just come when you can... the more the marrier and we all need practice!
So, who's in?
