Should We Pay?

Heard about what happened today from Paul. So, should we begin paying to play at parks?

Scott said it was $15 a day. While this would add up, I feel that if everyone came with $1 each game, we could handle the fee.... if we play each and every week, this is still only $52 for an entire year of baseball. Plus, in the winter, we won't have to deal with this most likely.

Thoughts?

incorrect.

it's more like $30 a day. $15 a day only gets you 2 hours, so it takes 2 of those sessions, ie $30.

This would have to be paid in advance, obviously, and then those that turn out would have to kick down cash to reimburse me.

I began to realize it would be cheap if we went this way. Just divide the number of people turning out by $30.

So if 20 turn out, it's $1.50 each basically.

If 15 turn out, it's $2.00 each.

If only 10 turn out, it's $3.00.

NOTE: these numbers are accurate only if the info I got about not having to pay a deposit or pay for insurance is true.

NOTE: We'd all have to sign waivers saying we won't sue Oakland if we get hurt.

Also, is there a way we could maybe get people to plegde to be there ahead of time? not worth it if 10 people show.

I vote to pay for piece of mind.

Scott, if you're worried about not always being reembursed for the $30 or whatever the fee is, I don't mind being treasurer, or the liason to the parks & recreation or whatever. Just a thought...(about which I'll undoubtedly kick myself in the future.)

Is this for a permit or what are we paying for, I don't have a problem paying, just wondering what I am paying for.
