PRACTICE TONIGHT AT BUSHROD! I'll be there at 6:30, as will Paul. I hear Ken and Richard will be there also. If anyone wants directions, they can call me at:

(510) three ate seven - nine too for one.

And yes, I can spell. I just want to prevent robots from reading the number.
I intended to write something to remind everybody of my superior prowess.

So after the catching, my knees are no worse than they were before, so it seems to me that it is running and/or jogging even, that is causing me pain.
All of the above is merely a preamble to the following statment:

I call catcher for this Sunday

Since I seem to need to avoid running, outfield duties are ruled out for a while. First base too (think scrambling after an overthrow, or shallow fly and foul territory pop-ups, not good for me right now)

So I'm going to take my practice tonight, if anyone wants to join me that's cool. I'm just going to set up my pitching target at home plate and try and throw a strike into the pocket from second base (yes, I know that's reversed, but the distance is the same, and this way the backstop will collect the misses for me). I will probably set up the hitaway and get some swings in, too.
If I don't hear from anyone that they also want to practice, I'll just stay in Alameda. But give me a call (205 2676) and I'll bring the gear out to Oakland. Golden Gate should be free (what with being totally overgrown and all).

Guys, I'm allowed out again tonight, since the old Dutch has her nose solidly into the books. Might as well make the most of it.
Golden Gate at 6:15-ish?

well i wanna do this every week, i noticed the difference in my control since starting. i mean wednesday i would say about 2/3 of my pitches were strikes and with decent velocity.

and soon i hope that fielding will come up too, and the hitting

I won't be able to practive this week, as I'm going to Hawaii on Saturday and I have too much stuff to do to prepare for that (e.g. the enormous pile of dirty dishes in my kitchen would not be a pleasant thing to come back to!).

Oh, and before I leave I need to go and give Ken's mom a good hard shag to tide her over until I get back and can take care of business as usual.
