Giant's Pitchers

Its a good sign when Barry Zito looks like the weak link in the rotation.

If the Giants could somehow sqeak into the playoffs, I don't know of too many other staffs which have such depth. Would you wanna oppose any of these three in a best-of-5 series?

Zito-Cain-Morris

Morris-Lowery-Cain

Shit, take the young guys

Cain-Lincecum-Lowery

I mean, who else has this? Maybe LA? Maybe Boston?

Now if only they could score more than twice a game.

Wang, Mussina, Pettite, Clemens, Hughes....pick 3.

In the future please leave Morris off any potential playoff rotations to avoid. This is not a comeback year, he's just hot. Let's be realistic here. Also...actually...screw the numbers...I believe in Lowry.

Cain, Zito, Linecum. Pretty dope. Lincecum especially is fun to root for since I utilized a roster space for him on 3 different fantasy teams for over a month and people talked smack about my propensity to over-value prospects. SWEET!!!

Wow! I had somehow missed Gaudin. Loiza, though, he worries me.

Also, I don't get the thing on Morris. This is May 22--nearly two months, and Morris is 5-1 with a 2.93 ERA. He did have a broken rib last year.

Some insight into my Morris feelings from a fantasy writer:

"The old Morris threw smoke, but this version is smoke – the peripherals don't support his 2.93 ERA at all (it should be about a run and a half higher). Morris has tricked some opponents the first time around the league this year – only the Padres have seen him twice – but his junkballing ways aren't going to sustain this success for the full season. In short, this is as good a sell-high candidate as you'll find." Last Updated: 5/21

You may choose to see things differently but I haven't seen the real Matt Morris in a long time. Can you say performance enhancing drugs?

Lincecum looked great tonight... I wonder if the league will adjust to him the second go-round?

Oh of course they will. That happens to every young pitcher. I'm not too worried though, because Lowery and Cain have both dealt with that and got through it quickly. Plus all reports say that Lincecum has a good head on his shoulders.

Mussina's 6.52 ERA doesn't really scare me anymore and we have no idea what Clemens will be like. Soooo....?
