The Giants farm system does exist!

"Major Minors: Entering Thursday, the Giants' Minor League clubs owned a collective 33-16 record, best among the 30 organizations. Augusta, San Francisco's lower Class A affiliate, led the way at 13-1."
Well, what do you say? I'm not saying the Giants have done a great job, but between Linden, Cain, and Lowery, on top of these results, I think it is worth saying that the Giants have a farm system several other teams would envy.

Yeah, but their obsession with old men prevents them from maintaining a strong farm system. I'll believe it when the young guys break through and it's no longer the SF G(eriatric)iants.

I think it is fair to say that Cain, at least, has broken through, as you should know having him on your fantasy team, Scott.
Also Lowry may not be the ace in the making that Cain clearly is, but a solid member of what is currently the best rotation in the NL, at least as far as ERA goes.
Also, at this point, with no team in the AL West above 500, I would just like to say, once again....
AL worst!

...and that's without Tim Lincecum. From what I keep reading, next to Phillip Hughes and Homer Bailey, he's the best pitching prospect in the minors. He's coming with his triple-digit heater and filthy deuce. Some compare the impact he will make to the one made by Francisco Liriano.

There are rumors of the Giants trading Morris' large contract, maybe to the Yankees.
I have even heard a Morris + prospects for Matsui. Who knows...
Then then Giants could bring up Tim.. but no need to rush him yet.
