Lemke....... ok, that's hilarious.

I think the rest all have a good shot at the hall.

I think Smoltz, Glavine and Maddux (not listed) are all first ballot HOFers.

As for Larry Jones.... Chipper's got a shot, especially if the Braves can make the postseason one more time.

You ommitted one of the easiest to label future HOFers on the Braves: Bobby Cox. There's no doubt whatsoever he's going in the Hall.

As for the Crime Dog, his career numbers are way better than I realized. That sucks, like Gallaraga, that he didn't hit the HR milestone before retiring (for McGriff, he stopped at 493 HRs).

Maddux and Cox were left off because of the lack of debate.

Well, anyway, I agree with Scott's posts. However, I don't think Chipper will bet in.

Had he played in another era, his numbers would be more impressive, but I don't think 337 HRs is gonna be enough. Also, his current number of 1865 hits is far too low.

Will his body hold up so he can pad those numbers? Doubt it. For 5 seasons, the number of games played has gone down with each year. I see him needeing about 400 more hits to get close to HoF status, and that's equal to about 4 or so more seasons.

I think more post-seasons will only help Chipper's HoF chances if he plays a major role. He hasn't been much of a hero since 2003, giving him about 7-8 very good seasons.

Peter, did you know that from little league to present day, Chipper Jones has never missed the postseason?
