CALDECOTT FIELD for December 3rd game

Post by Baseball=Life »

Hey, let's try it out. All signs point to "yes" says the 8-ball. Backup field is Curt Flood. Always check the site or call the hotline Sunday morning to verify field status! Here's some directions to Caldecott Field. (I'll be sending out the email with directions, etc., like normal later in the week.)

Caldecott Field sits just off Highway 24, at the intersection of Broadway and Caldecott Lane in Oakland, 94611. It is very near the highway, just up on a hill. Use "Caldecott Lane and Broadway, Oakland CA 94611" as your destination if you want to map out the directions yourself.

SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS FROM NORTH BAY / Highway 580:
* Take 580 East (John Knox Fwy) toward Oakland.
* Bear LEFT near Emeryville to remain on 580 East toward Hayward / Stockton
* Take the exit on your RIGHT for Highway 24 toward Walnut Creek --- go 4 miles
*Exit just before tunnel on Old Tunnel Road
* Go RIGHT on Broadway... Caldecott Lane is .2 miles down Broadway from the Old Tunnel Road exit

SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS FROM SOUTH BAY / 880 North:
* 880 North --> 238 South --> 580 West (8.5 miles)
* Take the 13 North ramp toward Berkeley - go 4.8 miles on 13 North
* Bear RIGHT onto the 24 East ramp (toward Walnut Creek/Concord)... go .6 miles
* Exit just before the tunnel at Old Tunnel Road
* Go RIGHT on Broadway... Caldecott Lane is .2 miles down Broadway from the Old Tunnel Road exit

SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS FROM WALNUT CREEK / 24 West:
* Take 24 West toward Oakland (about 10 miles)
* After the tunnel, take the exit to Tunnel Road
* Go LEFT at Caldecott Lane to Broadway which is .3 miles over.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU BELIEVE THESE DIRECTIONS ARE AT ALL INCORRECT!!

Hey, I forgot to include directions from the nearest BART station, so I'll do that when I get a chance to. Rockridge is the nearest BART.

Hmmm I tried to use that zip code you mentioned, Ken, but it didn't work for me, hmmmm.

Maybe he meant "94610"

And when Scott says it's very near the highway, he means the Caldecott Tunnel is within earshot from the field.

94611 is correct, check it on google maps. Other map services online don't recognize Caldecott Lane. Both 94601 and 94610 yield nothing.
