fields ...... again......
Hey, Scott, if you're going to drive around this upcoming Sunday let me know. I'm currently on the DL as well (sigh, fractured elbow is the lose), so I was thinking of checking out various parks to see if it's in use on Sundays.
Maybe we can split up by cities or something, dunno.

I prefer golden gate to king. The infield dimensions are similar (not identical, by any stretch), GG is fenced in, there's no glass building in center field, and it's a million times easier for newcomers to spot. Plus, home runs can't get lost in ivy in LF, no dogs, and no wall to run into if you're tracking a fly ball in CF or RF. Its accessible by a major bus line (72/72R), with a stop directly in front of the field. If we're concerned with turnout, I think GG is preferable.

I actually agree with all of these points. My only issue is that GG has a small infield.Southpaw Slim wrote:I prefer golden gate to king. But can someone remember--- I think the other diamond at GG is actually bigger.

The other field may be larger, but I'll have to measure it to be certain. The only issue I have with that diamond is the fact that the sun could be a problem while fielding. I like the orientation of the side we use. Plus, the shade keeps me from burning.
