Questions regarding this Sunday

Post by retep »

How hard is it to reach Curt Flood from BART?

Also, the e-mail says that the second game will be at about 2:30pm. Could we agree to not start the second game before 2:30, as in we may start later, but we'd just rest untill 2:30 to start a second game (for people who can only meet the second game).

Mass Transit proximity to Curt Flood

Yeah, that's what I have in mind, waiting until 2:30 to start game 2, even if we end game 1 earlier, for the reason you stated. I just hope game 1 doesn't end late.

The bus that goes to Curt Flood is the # 14 (toward 38th Ave).

This runs down 14th street in downtown Oakland.

It's a 17 minute bus ride from 14th and Oak to Curt Flood. BART Lake Merrit is on Oak (8th & Oak). Exit BART Lake Merrit and walk up Oak to 14th & catch the # 14. So you're walking from 8th up to 14th.

Specifically, catch BART at Embarcadero at 9:49 (Dublin line) ($2.55). Exit Lake Merrit BART at 10:00. Walk up Oak to 14th. Catch the # 14 (38th Ave headsign) at 10:11 (next 10:41, so you'll want to not miss this bus). Exit School & Coolidge at 10:28. The bus costs $1.25.

NOTE: The walk from Lake Merrit BART up Oak to 14th is less than 1/8 of a mile.
