I nominate:
Anthony: 6 for 7, 2 runs, and fuckin 5 RBIs
Chris: 5 for 7, 1 run, 2 2Bs, 2 RBIs, and a great D!

I nominate Chris for multiple defensive gems and timely hits. Also Peter's stop in the bottom of 8th (or 9th) stopped runs from scoring. The stats are missing my stupid strikeout.

It was in the 9th... but my previos fuck-ups cancle out good deeds done later, so I shouldn't be nominated.
But thanks!

I gotta go with Anthony.
To me, him getting the clutch, game winning RBI in the 9th stands out.
One aspect of Chris' game that deserves mention was his pitching. It makes such a big difference if you have a consistent pitcher out there, which Chris almost always is. One of Chris' best games though, for sure.

Aye, a great play indeed, and one of the truest web gems I've seen. I'll still have to go with Anthony though, he seemed to get one big hit after another...

Absolutely heartbreaking.
I'm ok going home bruised and battered, but a bruised and battered loser? I almost cried when I saw that play.

I have to give it to Chris, humbly admitting my own inferior appreciation of the game at the same time. He hit 2nd best of the day, only a little less than Anthony, and had a great day in the field. No errors I can recall. Just look at the team-vs-team hitting comparison to tell how much of a difference his pitching makes (26 singles and 3 doubles vs 17 and 0)

I got to give my vote to Anthony, he was just all over the place, playing first and all his hits and RBI's. That guy was an animal Sunday and i'm glad he was on my team.

Thanks for the votes guys... I still give it a split between Chris and Peter for defensive gems... anyone can slap a single with a guy in scoring position.... but defense wins championships... Oh I love sports cliches !!

I am really blown away by how much support I'm getting here. But, again, I need to de-nmominate myself. If i had not made like 5 erros in the first half of the game, my good play at the end of the game would not have been needed. Therefor, the deeds cancel each other out.
