Since we have been counting stats, we have taken 2273 at-bats. In those at-bats, we have 1019 hits. This means that last Sunday, someone had the 1000th hit ever!! (Scott, could you try and find out who that person was?) This means that we, as a club, are batting a solid .448.
We have scored 655 times, on only 533 RBIs (watch those errors, people!). Regarding extra base hits, we have hit 181 doubles, 45 triples, and 51 homeruns. I believe Ahmer, Ken, or Paul are the people who may have reached that mark, last week on the 22nd.
We have struck out 94 times. This means that this Sunday, we have a good chance of hitting the century mark in that category, with people trying to swing for the fences!
We have also made 26 web gems. Way to go everyone!
Our top six leaders in hits have recorded only 17% of our hits, a figure which surprised me as lower than I would have guessed. However, our top six homerun leaders make up 63% of all of the homeruns hit.
Similarly, the top six leaders in doubles account for 36% of all doubles, but the top five in triples account for 49% of the total number. Ah-ha!
Paul and Rob, easily our top strikeout guys, account for 26% of our total strikeouts.
Way to go guys
