stats from 3/6

I guess it's not surprising, seeing as I was 2/3 with 1 HR and some RBIs, but I was hoping we would count the stats from the 3/6 semi-game. Anyone else agree, or care at all?

I had a pretty good day too, but we didn't even make it through 1/3 of the game

I don't think we can count it.

We could however try to pick up where we left off when we get out there next sunday

That would be good, if we could come close to the teams we had I'd like to do it. We could play again after, make it a 1 & 2/3 header! Especially if we start at 11, as has been suggested. There has been some support for double headers in the past, so why not?
If the turnout is too different to have the same teams, then we should count the stats but not bother with a box score, and not change the at-bat minimum.
Surely we have to include those stats, I don't see why they aren't valid.

i like the idea of a 1 2/3 header

Yeah, aside from the fact that I've have to bring 4 bottles of Vitamin Water (I found one that has just the right amount of caffeine I need to prevent my tea-withdrawal headaches!) instead of two, and the old Dutch would probably complain, I see no downside.

OK, this is the Paul and Ken forum
What do you do if more people come this week? Its one thing if you're keeping teams, but the same game.... I donno. I'm not involved, but I would not support this.

we barely had enough as it was... I sure hope more people show up!!! and if they do, we just add them to the bottom of the lineup like we always do when people show up late (this time they'd just be 10000 minutes late as opposed to 15)

Yeah, slow work day.
Oh, and you're one to talk!
Picking up the game, paying small amounts of $$$$, this Sun

Picking up the game from last week seems implausible. Turnout is so volatile, the teams we end up with will be very different than what we started with, almost guaranteed. And even adding one top-skilled player to a team makes it a whole different team than last week.
So I think we should either just add the stats we got through 3 innings, or pretend the week never happened. For myself, my batting average will go down if we include the stats, even though I went 2/4!
More important is the question of whether people have coalesced around bringing a $5 with them to each game, ready to reimburse the permit-buyer, and ready to receive some change from them.
And, as for this upcoming Sunday, it's either going to be at Curt Flood, or perhaps at Franklin. And it should start at 11:00 instead of 12:00, so warm-ups at 10:30 instead of 11:30. My gut feeling is we should start at Curt Flood, then move to Franklin if necessary.
And, hopefully, with everyone agreeing to kick down the miniscule amount of $$$$ being talked about, this will be one of our last games where we have to worry about looking over our shoulders.
Final note: in a few months, we'll be the only users, and we'll be able to play where we want, like we usually do, without paying.

Scott, I for one will bring $5 in singles, if enough others commit likewise with enough time left for you to do so, I guess you can get the permit, and we can sign the insurance papers on the day.

While I'd like to avoid having to pay for this, if everyone feels that it's neccesary, I'll go along with it.

Never!
no, just kidding... I don't mind paying... but I would like to see what other options are available

I'd like to add to my previous statement that while I wish I could pitch in money... well, every cent counts ya know? I can allow myself a few personal purchases a month, and I used it last week on new batting gloves (of which I promptly lost one of). So it's not that I don't want to pay because it's not worth it... well, you get the point.

1. I like how Scott refered to himself as the "permit-buyer."

2. I think our stats should be counted just because we showed up. If you don't want your stats to count, don't play baseball.
