Re: Do you think Billy Beane cares about ESPN coverage?

You just don't get it. There's more to baseball than the Oakland A's. Thanks for imparting your wisdom and rhetorical mastery on me. For the longest time I had been so confused about why some of the baseball men on the field weren't wearing green and gold. Check your condescending tone... its annoy...

Do you think Billy Beane cares about ESPN coverage?

Man forget wanting more ESPN coverage. Just tape the game and watch it over and over if you want highlights. Or listen to Ray Fosse after the game on AM 1550. I for one am not sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for ESPN to notice us. Highlight coverage does not validate or invalidate our games/s...

I just have to say...

If the situation were reversed and the Earth was spinning the opposite direction, there would be a West Coast bias and no one in the Bay Area would be complaining and Yankee/Red Sox fans would be bitching. So I say, as a West Coaster and an A's fan, tough shit for us. Its a product of time, convenie...

Nicholl Park Under Construction

Hey guys... I played Wiffle Ball at Nicholl Park with some friends after work last Thursday. The field closest to MacDonald was completely dug up by a tractor... I think they are working on the field irrigation. I'm not sure if they are going to dig up all of the fields, or if that will effect the a...

I'm never in the way intentionally. But I agree with above comments. Just plow me or whomever else over. Rich... when was the 2nd time that I was in the way? I want to avoid being in the way when possible. Was I standing in the way during a hit or was it a time when we were trying to turn 2? I usual...

Money and Time

Paul... I hear your latest point. It would be nice to have this conversation without so much fire underneath... and personally I'd rather not piss off anyone (except probably you, because you are fun to talk shit to). But if we can't have the conversation depersonalized, I agree... we should just se...

I'm for Live Games

One of the most interesting and dynamic aspects of baseball is the psychological confrontation between pitcher and hitter. The pitching has been excellent the last few live games I've been to, and that has made me, I feel, a more disciplined hitter. I feel like to miss out on that aspect of baseball...

how bout this...

instead of arguing back and forth to make it an official rule, why don't we try the 4x4x4 the next time the opportunity comes up. at the end of the game, we can evaluate whether switching out runners and frequent at-bats was problematic... THEN we could make a decision. all the hypothetical arguing ...

What a game!

See this is all part of the plan. Blow the home opener, but then come back the next night with a beautiful ballgame, ending it with a 9th inning walk off rbi by marco scutaro, just as the rain picks up. Yankees didn't do their scouting homework. Shoulda pitched around Scutaro... the dominant hitting...

Just like we planned it

The game last night was clearly a plan of Billy Beane's. Step 1. Fool the league into thinking that Zito is washed up for good Step 2. Give Yankee fans false sense of security during 3-game opening series Step 3. Make the White Sox jealous with a solo HR by FT Step 4. Win the next 20 games in a row....

We had the best warm up ever.

This is Peter Rich. I just wanted to add to the discussion that we had the longest and ugliest warmup ever. Many of use were so warm that our arms were soar before the game started. The other team probably thought we were going to be awful based on the missed throws and the blooper music (it was in ...
